FOOTHBATH

The hot footbath treatment is given for 15 minutes only. The water temperature must not exceed 40o C. The temperature should be lower in case of extremely nervous persons, or if the patient has varicose veins. The feet should be continuously rubbed while in the pail or tub. End the treat with a brief cold immersion to bring the temperature of the feet back to normal. The hot foot bath is useful in case of heart palpitation, nervousness, anemia, high blood pressure, cold, varicose veins, cerebral congestions, cold feet, sinusitis, chronic leg ulcers, catarrh, toothache and nasal congestions.
